Many experts and sports writers have called Allen Fieldhouse the loudest and best arena in college basketball, and today The Phog did not disappoint. In my three years of cheering I have never cheered a louder game than this year's Border Showdown. It was an extra special game because a win would ensure our 8th straight Big 12 conference title, and it'll be the last game of our 120-year rivalry with Mizzou because they are leaving the Big 12.

The passion and excitement surrounding Kentucky basketball is in full effect every home game at the University of Kentucky as over 23,000 fans pack Rupp Arena. Last Tuesday the Florida Gators came to town take on the #1 Kentucky Wildcats. Rupp is the epitome of the term home field advantage. The Cats entered the game riding a 48-game home winning streak. As cheerleaders, we have many traditions that help get the crowd excited as we look to cheer the team on to a win each and every game.

When I was on the cheerleading team in high school, you taught me the values of teamwork, perseverance and dedication. You put me in positions to be elated with each win and disappointed with each loss I witnessed from our athletic teams. And through that, you taught me how to win and lose with grace and dignity. You taught me to never give up and that giving your all would often lead to victory, and if it didn’t, knowing that you had done all you could was never shameful, but merely a building block to prepare for the future.

Tour Life – Bring It On: The Musical

Tour life has been amazing so far! We get to see different landmarks in each city we go to, we get to see and experience working in different theaters, and most of all, we get to do it all with our friends! Los Angeles was so much fun, but each city will come to an end, and it's time to squeeze all of our stuff into our bags and head off to the next city. San Francisco is such a beautiful city, filled with awesome shopping, food, and historic landmarks like Alcatrez Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Denver brought the cold when a couple of cast members got to experience snow for the first time! I can't wait to get to experience even more cities as we tour across North America!
