A Little Cheer Goes a Long Way

July 6, 2012  |  Cheers for Charity, Field Notes

So many thoughts, fears and nerves get to people when they are getting ready to perform! During the actual performance sometimes you are so focused on the task at hand you don’t even notice the audience or even your teammates.

The Stepney Elementary School Wildcats Reading Team sure were glad to have the cheerleaders from Muska High School  in attendance at their  half-time performance of signing  “You’re a Grand Ole Flag”.  After finishing the performance, the Masuk Cheerleaders started cheering “Let’s go Wildcats”, and the crowd jumped to their feet and joined the cheerleaders. The cheerleaders came over to the Wildcats, high fived, hugged and congratulated each child.

This act of kindness went a long way!
