America Needs Cheerleaders to vote for Alexis!

January 8, 2013  |  Life Beyond Cheer

America needs cheerleaders to vote for Alexis! A former cheerleader at Cut Bank High School in Montana, Alexis is the reigning Miss Montana 2012. Alexis will be competing in the 2012 Miss America Pageant THIS SATURDAY, January 12, and needs our vote to get her in the top 15! At only 18 years old, Alexis is the youngest participant in the pageant this year, and is the first contestant with autism to compete for the title of Miss America.  She credits her participation in cheerleading as one of the keys to giving her the confidence to overcome the stigma of autism and to go on and compete for Miss Montana. In her senior year of cheerleading, Alexis was named Captain of her cheerleading squad, and even got to perform in the 2011 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with Varsity.
