In 1979, Katie started her career in TV at ABC, there she wasn’t more than an assistant, and knew if she wanted to make it in the TV world, she needed to move on. In 1984, she was working for CNN, but shortly after got let go because they thought her voice was too squeaky. But that didn’t stop her, she was still a cheerleader at heart and giving up wasn’t an option.
